Caroline Bouchayer just sent us this photo of her baby girl, Victoria. Here is the message from Caroline: Victoria Bouchayer was born on Thursday March 4 at 5:27 pm. Delivery went very well. She is very cute, eats and sleeps really well. Good luck to all of you and thank you for the very helpful yoga lessons!!

Jonathan and Erica are happy to share news of the arrival of Gabriella (Ella) Jane Levin at 12:32 pm on Friday, January 22nd, 2010. Ella weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz, and is doing wonderfully, as is mom.

I’ve had a lifelong fascination with birth. Many of my early healing and self-help experiences focused on birth.  Along with the early feminists I noticed how power is often taken away from mothers in medicalized births. I noted that midwifery was illegal in many places, and that women’s health care in general was an issue.  We provided “self-help” classes in which we taught how to use a mirror, flashlight and speculum to empower women to take charge of their own health and bodies.  The first edition of Our Bodies, Ourselves was our bible.
